About us
Tested tried and True
Duncan attended saddle making school in Cheyenne, Wyoming in 1997, and has been breaking horses for most of his life. This combination has helped him to build saddles that are very functional and exceptionally comfortable. His eye for quality has led him to become an artist with leather and his saddles are truly beautiful. His use of the saddles in everyday life has led Duncan to perfect his design both of a type of saddle tree bearing his name to producing a lighter more durable saddle.
Duncan's wife Bonnie has since added a new dimension to the craft. Her talent for figure carving and painting have taken the couples' level of custom to a new level. From themed saddles, to well known mountains, favorite horses, to even Salvador Dali, only imagination is the limit. Bonnie's love for riding dressage has also inspired the saddles to be close contact so you can feel your horse well underneath you. She also does the photography of the saddles and coats.
Together the couple also raise sport horses in rural Montana in addition to 2 daughters. They use their horses for everything from ranch work and roping, to driving, and dressage. They put on wagon trains and Duncan has been a wrangler and wagon master in some movies using horses they have raised. Duncan was featured in the "Raised in The West" magazine.
